- Your pickup location will be (as per your tour confirmation e mail)
- Our tours depart on time every time.
- You must be at the pickup point 10 minutes before departure time (see your e mail confirmation)
- 72 hours notice via e mail for all cancellations is required.
- Valid cancellations received via e mail will be refunded less (15% handling fee)
- Tickets are date specific and are NOT transferable.
- Only book a STUDENT ticket if you can provide a valid student ID (on the bus)
Special Note
- It is illegal for infants to sit on an adults lap (if you show up on the tour date and this situation arises, we will refuse to allow you travel) no refund will be made in this case.
- Routes may alter due to road closures (weather conditions / accidents)
- We reserve the right to cancel tours due to insufficient numbers, we will where possible provide an alternative tour, if this is not possible we will arrange a total refund.

Terms and Conditions – Please read carefully: These conditions apply whether a contract has been made verbally or in writing. Once you purchase a tour online you accept the Day Tours Unplugged terms and conditions.
Payment: Payment in full must be made before embarking on a tour, unless otherwise agreed by the company. Day Tours Unplugged reserve the right to refuse any pre-paid passenger who does not supply the relevant documentation/voucher to confirm their payment.
Children: Must be accompanied by an adult: Children or minors are under no circumstances allowed to sit on parent / guardians lap.
Departure: Departure times, locations and tour dates are subject to change. Customers are requested to confirm their reservation one week before travel via e mail
Cancellation Policy: Day Tours Unplugged cancellation policies may be applied in conjunction to any third party cancellation policy.
Newgrange Tour: Due to restricted seat availability on the Newgrange Tour, final confirmation of numbers is required no later than 72 hours prior to departure. Cancellations made within 72 hours prior to date of travel will not be refundable. Applications to waiver this charge will only be considered if the application is made to Day Tours Unplugged in writing, and is accompanied by a medical certificate.
- Newgrange Tours already booked cannot be cancelled and rebooked where special offers are made available. This applies to all trade shows and any other special offers that may be available.
- If the reason for your cancellation is covered under your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.
Wicklow Glendalough Tour:
- Outside of 72 hours prior to travel – 100% refund less a (15% admin / bank fee charge)
- Within 72 hours prior to date of travel – 100% charge / no refund
- The charge is in relation to the total ticket price
- Wicklow Tours already booked cannot be cancelled and rebooked where special offers are made available. This applies to all trade shows and any other special offers that may be available.
- If the reason for your cancellation is covered under your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.
Private Tours:
- Outside 72 hours prior to travel – 100% refund less a (15% admin / bank fee charge)
- Within 72 hours or ‘No-show’ to / on date of travel – 100% charge / no refund
- The charge is in relation to the total private hire price
- Private Tours already booked cannot be cancelled and rebooked where special offers are made available. This applies to all trade shows and any other special offers that may be available.
- If the reason for your cancellation is covered under your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.
Shore excursion refund policy Day Tours Unplugged / Shore Excursions or Private hire / Dublin port / Dunlaoughaire port
- Outside 7 days prior to date of travel – €80 admin charge applies
- Within 7 days prior to date of travel – 50% charge
- Within 5 days prior to date of travel – 75% charge
- Applications to waiver these charges will only be considered if the application is made in writing, and is accompanied by a medical certificate.
- If the reason for your cancellation is covered under your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.
Shore Excursions special note: In the unlikely event that your cruise ship does not arrive into Dublin port due to adverse weather conditions the following terms will apply.
- If we receive e mail notification / or a mobile telephone call / SMS message prior to the tour date the following applies – refund less (15% admin)
- If we do not receive any notification / your vehicle / guide will be dispatched as per the scheduled booking – refund less €80 (admin / driver, fuel road tolls)
- Shore Excursions already booked cannot be cancelled and rebooked where special offers are made available. This applies to all trade shows and any other special offers that may be available.
Cancellation by Day Tours Unplugged
In the event of an emergency, riot, civil commotion, strike, lock out stoppage or restraint of labour or on the happening of any event over which the company has no control (including adverse weather and road conditions) or where three or less passengers are travelling the company may, by returning all money paid and without further or other liability, cancel the contract.
Breakdowns and Delays
Journey times are provided in good faith. However, as a result of breakdown or traffic congestion, or other events beyond the reasonable control of the company, journeys may take longer than predicted and in those circumstances the company will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience suffered by the hirer as a result.
Route and Vehicle
Day Tours Unplugged reserves the right to substitute vehicles (including those of other operators) or ancillary facilities. The route used will be at the discretion of the company.
Passenger’s Property
- All vehicles are subject to restrictions on carrying luggage for statutory safety reasons.
- The hirer / passenger accepts that the driver / guide shall be the sole judge as to whether and what extent passengers’ property is carried.
- Large bulky items may not be able to be carried, and all steps should be taken to notify the company in advance of such requirements.
- Day Tours Unplugged will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen luggage/personal belongings.
- During your day tour “do not leave any personal belongings on the tour vehicle”
Food and Beverage
Food or drink (including alcoholic beverages) may not be consumed on the vehicle without prior written consent from the company.
Conduct of Passengers
The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle at all times, and as such may remove any passenger whose behavior prejudices safety or is in breach of any Public Service Vehicle laws.
Refunds
- Customers are entitled to a full refund in the event that the company cancels a tour.
- All other refunds are at the discretion of the company.
- Refunds will always be made onto the original credit card used at time of booking.
- Customers are not entitled to a refund or partial refund to avail of a special offer.
Complaints
In the event of a complaint about the company’s services, the hirer should seek a solution at the time by seeking assistance from the driver or from Day Tours Unplugged. If this has not provided a remedy, complaints should be submitted in writing within 14 days of the termination date of the h
